The mountains in bloom
When the snow melts, the mountains reveal a second life: glacier skiing, hiking and biking through wild-flower meadows, festivals, lakes and long golden days. Here is what each of our destinations offers when summer comes to the Alps.

Zermatt
Europe's premier summer-ski destination, with year-round skiing and snowboarding on the Theodul Glacier. Below the snow lie more than 400km of marked trails, the famous Five Lakes walk, the Gornergrat, world-class mountain biking and climbing, all in the shadow of the Matterhorn.

Verbier
A summer playground with over 800km of marked mountain-bike and e-bike trails and a lift-served bike park, alongside paragliding, hiking and golf. Each July the world-renowned Verbier Festival fills the mountains with classical music.

Courchevel
Hiking and biking across the Three Valleys, an altitude golf course, via ferrata and tree-top adventure, with a summer calendar of art and gastronomy and the same refined dining the resort is famed for in winter.

Méribel
Walking and biking through flower-filled alpine meadows in the heart of the Vanoise, an altitude golf course, lake swimming and family adventure parks: the green, tranquil side of the Three Valleys.

Val d'Isère
Summer skiing on the Pissaillas Glacier, extensive hiking and biking in the Vanoise National Park, trail running, and the legendary cycling cols, including the Col de l'Iseran, the highest paved mountain pass in the Alps.

Lech
Gentle, flower-strewn hiking on Der Grüne Ring (the Green Ring), crystal-clear mountain lakes, wild-flower meadows and pure alpine air: exclusive calm at its most beautiful, with golf close at hand.

St Anton
A hiking and biking hub of the Arlberg, with panoramic routes such as the Run of Fame, via ferrata, bracing mountain air and the great cycling climb over the Arlberg Pass.
