Lech is far more than a world-class ski destination; it is a village with a rich and varied cultural identity, celebrated throughout the winter season by an exceptional programme of events. At Christmas, the village transforms into an enchanting tableau of festive lights, traditional markets and the warming scent of mulled wine, offering guests that rare and wholly authentic Alpine magic that only a mountain village at Christmas can provide.

In early December, the annual Arlberg Weinberg festival draws discerning wine lovers to the slopes for a singular celebration of viticulture. Masterclasses explore everything from sustainability in winemaking to the convivial experience of skiing alongside distinguished winemakers, making it one of the most distinctive and intellectually engaging events in the Alpine calendar. As the New Year approaches, Lech marks the occasion in memorable style, with a spectacular fireworks display or, for those who prefer something more refined, a classical concert performed by the Vienna String Soloists.

Towards the close of the ski season, the Tanzcafe music festival brings a vibrant, celebratory energy to the Arlberg region. Running annually since 2013, the festival features an eclectic mix of musical acts and genres, with performances taking place across Lech, Oberlech and St Anton, making it the perfect occasion to savour the final days of a remarkable mountain stay.
