Privacy policy
Last updated 16 October 2026
Discretion is at the heart of how we work. Whether you ask about a chalet, subscribe to our letter or follow us online, you can expect the same care with your personal information as with your stay. This policy sets out, plainly, what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Alpine Collection is operated by TRH Dunnink Holding BV, which is responsible for the processing described in this policy. We follow the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For anything concerning your privacy, write to us at [email protected].
What we collect
- When you send an enquiry: your name, email address and telephone number, the residence and dates you have in mind, your preferred level of service and way of contact, and your message.
- When you subscribe to our letter: your email address and the date you subscribed.
- When you browse the website: anonymous statistics only, such as the page you visit, your country, the website that referred you, your language and type of device. Your country is derived from your IP address, which we do not keep. To recognise a single visit we place a random session code in your browser and one small marker; we use no tracking cookies, advertising networks or outside analytics services.
- When you email or call us: whatever you choose to share.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry, prepare a proposal and arrange every part of your stay. This is necessary to take steps at your request before, and in performance of, an agreement with you.
- To send you our letter, only with your consent. Every letter lets you unsubscribe with one click.
- To understand how our website is used and make it better, which is our legitimate interest. For this we use anonymous statistics only.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as accounting and tax rules.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your personal data. We share it only where your stay or the running of our website requires it, and only as much as is needed:
- the owner or managing partner of the residence you enquire about or book, and the people you ask us to arrange for you, such as drivers, chefs or ski instructors;
- the companies that host and support our website and email on our behalf, bound by a data processing agreement: Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany and Microsoft;
- map providers, who receive your IP address when a map is shown: the OpenStreetMap Foundation for our overview map and Google for the location map on each residence page (see the Google Privacy Policy, policies.google.com/privacy).
Where your data is kept
Your data is stored in Switzerland and the European Union. Should a provider handle it elsewhere, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the Swiss and European authorities.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless they lead to a booking.
- Bookings: as long as the law requires, usually ten years for accounting.
- Our letter: until you unsubscribe.
- Website statistics: up to 24 months, without anything that identifies you.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time to see the data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to limit or object to its use, or to receive a copy in a common format. Where you have given consent, you may withdraw it whenever you wish. Simply write to [email protected]; we reply within 30 days. You are also entitled to complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or to the data protection authority in your EU country of residence.
Social media and YouTube
- We share our own photographs and films on YouTube (youtube.com/@alpine.collection), Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn. When you visit us there, the privacy terms of those platforms apply.
- Our website uses YouTube API Services to upload films to our own YouTube channel and to read that channel's statistics. We do not use these services to collect information about viewers or anyone else. The access keys and statistics we receive are kept securely on our own server and are never shared.
- By watching or engaging with our films on YouTube you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (youtube.com/t/terms). How Google handles your information is explained in the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
- Alpine Collection's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy (developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.
- Access granted to our application can be withdrawn at any time on Google's security settings page (security.google.com/settings/security/permissions).
Deleting your data
To have your personal data removed, including anything we may have received through YouTube, Instagram or Facebook, email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my data" and the email address or account concerned. We confirm within 30 days, keeping only what the law obliges us to retain.
How we protect it
Your data is protected by encrypted connections, strictly limited access and systems that we keep up to date. Only the people who look after your stay can see your details.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy whenever our services or the law change. The latest version is always on this page, dated at the top.
